About the International Toshu Jutsu Federation
The Bushinkai Academy was founded in 2000 by Renshi Simon Keegan and teaches a system of Karate and Jujutsu called Hakuda Kempo Toshu Jutsu.
Although the syllabus is arranged in a modern format, the content of the curriculum covers the original combative techniques of Karate from the golden era of Okinawan Karate circa 1700-1920.
Guided by his own teachers, Kyoshi Reiner Parsons and Shihan Robert Carruthers, and also attending seminar training with the likes of masters Tadanori Nobetsu, Shizuya Sato, Terry Wingrove, Li De Yin, Patrick McCarthy and countless others, he formulated a system that was modern in design but traditional in content and purpose.
Now the International Toshu Jutsu Federation has been founded as a Kenkyukai (research group) to develop, research and educate on the original combat art of Toshu Jutsu or Karate Jutsu.
